What We Do
The Housman Institute is a research and training institute that supports emotional, cognitive, and social early learning for children from birth through six years. We work with schools, administrators, educators, parents and caregivers in the effective implementation of our evidence-based, prevention and intervention programs toward the development of children’s emotional intelligence. Our offerings include our evidence-based program begin to ECSEL® program that promotes the development of emotional competence on the path toward self-regulation, which research shows is critical to lifelong success in learning and in life.
- Evaluative consulting services for the design and implementation of emotional, cognitive and social early childhood instruction.
- Training and certification in our evidence-based begin to ECSEL® approach.
- Licensing and dissemination of our evidence-based begin to ECSEL® approach with supporting begin to ECSEL® curricula for full program implementation.
